The election of Assembly officers for the 2016-2017 fraternal year will be conducted at our May meeting on May 23, 2016. The nominating committee has recommended the re-election of the current slate of officers for a second one-year term.(the faithful friar is an appointed office; Roman Hnidj and Jay Bohn have one and two years respectively on their three-year terms as trustees). Nominations will be accepted from the floor.
The District Master meets with the faithful navigators and other delegates of the assemblies of the district in a district convention (formally, the "district assembly") each even numbered year. Among the agenda items of that meetings is an election to designate three names to be submitted to the Supreme Master for appointment as district master for the next term.
The Biennial Convention of the First NJ District was held on Saturday, March 19, 2016. The three names submitted for appointment as master are (in order of votes received): Russell D. Petrocelli, Kenneth Mahouchick, and James Bird.
